YoYo's World .:. How to Cold Brew Coffee
Cold brewing coffee is of course not your traditional way of making a nice cup of java. Working at a coffee shop as a barista, I've tried a lot of different coffees and even came up with my own special drinks =). I will say with the cold brew, it's different and can sometimes not be that tasteful.
The process to make cold brewing coffee is a simple one but does take time to do. First off you will need a Cold Brew Concentrator. It doesn't look anything like a traditional coffee brewer. (To your left you will see a picture of one.)
The only thing that is different about cold brewed coffee is that it is able to seep in room temperature water. So basically what you do is grind the coffee, plug in the brewer, add water, add coffee and let sit. Craig Haller, of http://www.howtobrewcoffee.com/ said he let the coffee brew for 13 hours.
Actually pot instructions may vary depending on the brewer but that is the basic premise. You need grounds, water and a brewer.
I've had cold brewed and it personally wasn't my favorite. Then again, I don't drink anything but decaf so my coffee taste is a unique one. If you are a coffee lover, I would suggest a little variety to your brews. A true brewer is willing to try it all so be adventurous and shake up your java cups.
Have fun brewing!
